Sustainable Construction – Energy – Water

This Competence Team stands for sustainable construction, passive technical systems, energy efficiency, and renewable energy for agricultural and rural activities including wine. Farms are consumers of energy and offer excellent conditions for the use of renewable energies. They are experienced in the design and development of sustainable construction projects, conduct training programs to raise awareness about passive systems, energy efficiency, and renewable energy sources, prepare energy audits for new and buildings requiring reconstruction/rehabilitation.

Union of Experts Sustainable Energy and Environment (UESEE) is staffed by professionals with diverse expertise promoting the organization’s mission through research, education, and consulting:

  • Support development of sustainable energy projects

  • Conduct training programs to raise awareness about energy efficiency and renewable energy sources

  • Participate in research and exploration projects

  • Develop a Sustainable Energy Action Plan

  • Prepare energy audits for building and industrial enterprises and support in the implementation and monitoring of relevant activities

  • Collaborate with the Ministries in preparation on energy efficiency and environmental legislation

  • Certifiy buildings according energy audits results

  • Prepare of conferences and seminars related to the energy efficiency and environmental issues

  • Developed textbook “Energy Efficiency in Construction” for VET institutions and Universities,

  • Publishing information materials related to the energy efficiency and environmental issues

  • Provide consultancy services.

UESEE-implemented projects, research studies, and energy audits, are funded by USAID, EU, GIZ, MDF (Municipality Development Fund of Georgia)

Our Experts

Khatuna Sichinava (Ph.D.) is an engineer of hydropower stations and sub-stations and has a Ph.D. Degree in Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering of GTU. She is Chairwoman of the technical committee of energy efficiency TC 7 of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and engaged with the National Agency for Standards and Metrology of Georgia. She is lecturer at San Diego State University.

Nani Meparishvili (Ph.D.) is representing the Union of Experts Sustainable Energy an Environment, (UESEE), a union of professionals active in research, education, and consulting, amongst in development projects:

  • development of sustainable energy efficiency strategies

  • training programs to raise awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources

  • development of Sustainable Energy Action Plans

  • energy audits for construction and industrial companies incl. support in the implementation and monitoring of activities

  • certification of buildings based on energy audits

  • conferences and seminars related to energy efficiency and environmental issues.

They cooperate with governmental organizations in the preparation of energy efficiency and environmental legislation and regulations and participated in the realization of the textbook "Energy Efficiency in Construction" for vocational training institutions and universities and published various information material on energy efficiency and environmental issues.
